I am revamping my website using  Apple's new software, iWeb. I am looking forward to presenting the new "look." The content will be very much the same.

I just returned home yesterday from the Visalia Lectureship. Their theme this year is "The Bible in 3D," all about Bible geography. Don't let the subject matter fool you. The material I heard was excellent. I recommend the book.

I returned home Saturday after two weeks of refilming my material on Coping. WVBS refilmed the material initially taped over ten years ago because Gospel Broadcast Network (GBN) expressed interest in using it. The material was originally filmed as a conversation between Tom Steed and me. This year it was taped in the same format with Don Ruhl, my good friend and old class mate (and I do mean old) from SCSE days.

I was suffering from an upper respiratory infection the entire time, which, as you can imagine, slowed down the process. But Don was able to bring to the table energy I was not able to muster. I felt like Jabba the Hut until the last one or two classes (30 total), and by then my mind was spent.

I don't suppose you would be interested in my excuses for being so behind in publishing "Reflections." It isn't because I haven't been reading. It is because of a surgery that too several weeks out of my routine. As if that were not enough, we have been helping care four four grandchildren ages 6 years old to 1 year old.

The January Reflections has been posted. I intend to get caught up within the next few weeks adding February's issue. If you are a reader of that page, thanks for your patience. I know you hold your breath waiting for each issue.

I have decided to make the primary focus of my extra curricular reading this year center on early Christian history. I have come across some excellent material and intend to share it with you through upcoming Reflections and the Closer Look Journal.

As for the Closer Look Journal, I am currently interviewing Kevin Rhodes, who has recently published a book on the subject of how to study the Bible. An old friend, Steve Guy, is working on a special study on the subject of training young men to preach. Steve wrote his doctoral dissertation on the subject.
