Back Story:

      The Apple Newton division produced many variants of Newton before shipping its first product: the Newton Message Pad.  Some could rightfully be considered ancient ancestors of today's iPad!

    Offered here is a 1992 Prototype (yes, that was 18 years ago!) of a never shipped Newton, code named "Cadillac".  It is a tablet sized PDA in a clear case, so all that sexy circuitry is revealed.  It required a wired stylus (lost / not included) that could be connected on either left or right side.
