| Artist's Comment: This was another picture I did as an excercise to get back into painting. One of the advantages of alkyd is that it dries fast, but not fast like acrylic. Acrylic dries too fast for me. Alkyd will dry slower than acrylic but faster than oil. It's usually dry to the touch about 18 hours later and this allows me to paint over it again sooner than oils, which would get tacky and hard to paint on if it's not completely dry. |
