Artist's Comment: Most of the charcoal drawings in this gallery were done during the afternoon drawing session. It's a single pose for two and a half hours with breaks after every twenty minutes. I can afford to take my time and put in more details in the drawing. I'll spend the first twenty minutes mapping out the drawing and making sure everything was drawn right, because after the model takes a break and tries to get back to the same pose, she would have shifted around slightly. If I had drawn everything in place beforehand the only thing I have to worry about are the shadows and tones. They would have shifted slightly, but those can easily be compensated. The drawing may get more messed up if I try to redraw or make corrections according to how the model sits this time around. You can see on drawing #3 how I tried to do a change on the neck line and ended up making it look like a scar.
