Worked on porting medical imaging/radiation treatment software to OSX, from NextSTEP 3.3. The tools used include GCC 2.95.2, GCC 3.1, and ProjectBuilder. Work was done primarily in Objective-C++, as well as pure C++ and Objective-C. |
I head a development and consultancy company, specializing in Macintosh games and utilities. Most of the work in the mid 90’s was done in C and C++, using MetroWerks’ CodeWarrior IDE. While most of the current work is done in Objective-C and C++ from within Apple’s ProjectBuilder and xCode IDEs, using GCC 2.95.2 through 3.4. |
Responsible for writing code for the MacOSX developer training courses "Cocoa: the Object-Oriented Solution" and “Carbon Development with Mac OS X”, which are endorsed by Apple, and have been reviewed by Apple engineers. Also consulted on the proper use of Cocoa and Carbon MacOSX APIs. All coding for this contract was done in Objective-C and C++ from within Apple’s ProjectBuilder IDE, using GCC 2.95.2. The applications written for this course are used as examples of the correct way to program for MacOSX, using both of it’s high-level APIs. Since all code was to be used as examples, it had to not only run well, it also had to be readable by someone new to the APIs, and therefore immaculately commented. |
| Responsible for all Macintosh coding for SPS’s game: Citrus V, and ensuring compatibility with all versions of the MacOS, from 7.1 to X. All coding was done in C++ from within MetroWerks’ CodeWarrior IDE. Due to the fact that this was an effort by a team of individuals located around the world, it was necessary to use strict OOP methodology in order to keep the code modular and maintainable. |
