Use iTunes Store Info to Search Your Public Library's CatalogI didn't know this was possible, mainly because it
isn't possible (yet) on a Mac, but my VBScript for iTunes that I have available
for download also works with information gotten from the iTunes
Store!
I'm psyched. I'm thinking of putting it out there as
a download from our library website along with the bookmarklet that allows one
to search the library catalog using info from Amazon.
The script can also be modified to search AEC OneStop's WebAMI site for librarians who order CDs and DVD from them. I'll make that script available for download soon, after some minor tweaking to handle Various Artists, movies, etc. As long as the website you want to use has a transparent search URL, the script can be tweaked to do your bidding. The script works with MSIE and Firefox, whichever is your default browser. MusicSearch.vbs Posted: Wed - October 4, 2006 at 11:38 AM |
