I'm So Excited
I'm about to lose control and
I think I like it
That Pointer Sisters song was such a huge hit
when I was growing up. I think it was on the soundtrack to
Beverly Hills
Cop, the same soundtrack that featured "Axel
F" by Harold Faltermeyer, or whatever his name was. ("Axel" and "Faltermeyer"
are not within my spellcheck capabilities - although, thankfully, "capabilities"
is!) I never did learn that whole riff on the keyboard. Maybe one of these
days.....
Today was a pretty good day.
I've been asked to help present a guitar to Steve Jobs at Apple headquarters in
about two weeks. I can't go into too much detail, but "cool" doesn't begin to
describe it. Hopefully things will work out with that. Steve Jobs is a God to
me. Seriously.
Better than that, I got
a preview of the tracks my buddy Barry did for my song, "Dear Old Friend". OH.
MY. GOD. His stuff is just stupid good. I can't wait to get the tracks in the
mail and mix it properly. It's the last song I have to mix for the album. The
rest has been mastered and is all ready to go. I turned in the artwork earlier
this week, proofed it on Friday.
I can
tell you now, hating to toot the old horn here but, this shit is goooood. The
extra "O"'s are there because of all the help I've gotten on this little
project. Richard Rowland, Rick Taylor, the stupid-good vocals from Arron
Marshall, my best buddy, Matthew Lerner, and of course, Barry Lawson, have made
this such a much better entity...it's just stupid. I can not wait to unleash
this shit. I'm so proud of the accomplishment I've made with this little album
project.
Feel The Love.
Indeed.
Stay tuned for more
love!
