Gearing Up and Getting Out

November 2004 is gonna suck, then not suck, then suck again.

Now that the album is finished it is time to start with the big move. That's right. The family is moving to Gallatin, TN in two weeks. What a mess. I haven't even started packing yet. I've split my time in the past few weeks between finishing up the album and rehearsing to get ready to do these new songs live. I've got some pretty interesting stuff lined up for the next few months.

Unfortunately that little California trip to meet with Steve Jobs has fallen through. I should have expected that, and I think really, in the back of my head, I did. Things like that don't often fall into my lap, and so that trend apparently continues.

I also failed to mention that last week I ran over the neighbor's dog with my wife's car. Talk about an awkward situation. The icing on that cake was that the entire family was sitting on the porch at the time and basically got front row tickets to the carnage I unleashed against their unleashed dog. We'll probably skip that house on Halloween.

I've been making some changes on the website in preparation for the new album. As a special treat, I've made available the first track off the CD, which is a song called "Celebrity". I hope you dig it. It's a good indication of what the rest of the album sounds like. My friend Richard Rowland plays electric guitar on the song. He rocked it up for me.

So, I've got a busy month ahead of me. Wish me luck.
