Christmas Time is here again
O-U-T spells
out.
Merry
Christmas!Whoa! What a week it has
been. The temperatures here have reached single digits. There's a covering of
snow and ice outside. I can't even begin to describe how much I detest this
weather. I bought a bottle of Southern Comfort the other day from a liquor
store near the new digs. I'd never been in there before, so I struck up a
conversation with the women behind the counter. The older woman said that she
was excited about the plunging temperatures because it "kills off all the
germs". I must admit that my initial reaction was to stare at her as if she had
just eaten a puppy. Instead, I said, "Yep, that's right!" I'm just so
agreeable around the holidays.Santa
Claus showed up here last night. He brought George Dora's Talking House. This
was an item that apparently Santa had some trouble getting this year. Santa had
to expend a tremendous amount of Elf work since the Dora Talking House was very
popular this year and couldn't be located by any conventional means. So now we
have a new toy around the house that makes noises when I walk by it. The big
difference with this particular toy, is that it says things to me in two
different languages. I think one of them is Spanish. The only Spanish I know
is, "Yo tengo mas mucho cervix esta allegra, Jesus" - which means, "You're
pancakes are lovingly shaped like a donkey,
William."Having been moved-in with the
in-laws now for over a month, we find ourselves still settling in. Sometimes
minor differences have a major impact. Take for example the fact that all
people can be divided into three groups: 1-Those that prefer CREAMY peanut
butter 2-Those that prefer CHUNKY peanut butter 3- Those that are are allergic
to peanut butter. I, myself, am a creamy-style guy. My father-in-law prefers
the evil-chunky style. We may never get along.
Oh the humanity!
