My Work Here Is Done
...or has it only just
begun?!?
This morning I turned in the absolute final
master of my new CD. It's done and out of my hands now. What a strange strange
feeling. For the past year I've been working on it almost everyday. I'm not
even kidding about that. Many nights turned into early mornings, as I dragged
myself into bed at 4am after several hours of recording and re-recording various
parts. I can't even begin to try to calculate how many hours I spent on this
project.
I feel numb.
So, now I'm sitting here not fully realizing that I have nothing more to do with this album project. Now what? Poop.
Last night my buddy, Matthew, and I re-mixed two songs, "Dear Old Friend" and "Waste In Time". Then I re-mastered the album and pooped out the final master copy. We stayed up until 4 in the morning finishing this up. Talk about last minute! The final super-duper definitive master copy was made less than eight hours before I had to turn it in.
Definitely finished a big chapter in this book. I hope the next one at least has some pictures.
