(Revised May 2008)

Did you know that you can play music and movies directly in TextEdit? It's really very easy to do. Set your TextEdit document to rich text format (Format Menu --> Make Rich Text). Next, drag any music or movie file into the TextEdit window. You can now play the file by clicking the play button below the movie or on the music file.

Music and movie files in TextEdit

The TextEdit document can be saved and shared with anyone who has a copy of TextEdit for Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) or 10.5 (Leopard), so now you can easily send movies and sound files of your beautiful babies to their grandparents.
