(Revised May 2008)

Organizing your email messages can be easier with Apple's Mail program if you use message threading. When message threading is on, all messages with the same subject will be grouped together and highlighted in a color of your choice. This is an easy way to view all email messages you've sent and received on one particular topic.

Example of email message threading

To use message threading, select a mailbox and then select Organize by Thread from the View menu. If you have multiple threads and want to view just one thread, select the thread header and then select Display Selected Messages Only from the View menu. You'll now see only the messages from the thread you want.

As you can see, message threading is a quick and easy way to organize your email messages.
