(Revised May 2008)

Did you know there are many ways to easily launch an application in Mac OS X 10.4 and 10.5? Of course, double-clicking on a file doesn't take much effort, but here are some other easy ways to do it.

1.  Drag the application to the Dock or the Toolbar and just click on the new icon to launch the application.

2.  Drag the application to the Finder Sidebar for one-click launching from there.

3.  Did you forget where you filed that application? Do a Spotlight search and click the file when it appears in the Spotlight pane for quick one-click launching.

4.  Use one of the many free launch programs for Mac OS X 10.4 and 10.5. Two of my favorites are Namely (10.5 only) and QuickSilver (10.4 and 10.5).
