Have you ever wondered how you could easily access and launch any of your favorite programs from just one place on your computer screen? It's really quite simple to do. Create a new folder in the Finder, give your new folder a meaningful name and then drag the folder to the Desktop. Next, go to your Applications folder and highlight a program. Select Make Alias from the File menu and drag the new alias file to the folder you created on the Desktop. Continue to do this for all of your favorite programs. Move the new folder to a safe location on your hard drive (a place where you won't accidently delete the folder) and then drag the folder from its new location to the right side of the Dock, next to the trash can. Now you can launch any program with an alias in the folder by right-clicking on the folder in Mac OS X 10.4 or clicking on it in Mac OS X 10.5 and selecting the program you want from the pop-up menu.
