This application will let you select several .mov files to play in QuickTime in sequential order. First, you will be asked to select movie files. Next, you can select the viewing size for the movies and whether to display them on a primary or secondary display. QuickTime will open and the first selected movie will play. When the movie is finished or when you close that movie file, the next movie will automatically open and play.

Automator workflow for viewing movies in QuickTime

Step 1:   Ask for Finder Items

  • Prompt: Type the prompt you want for selecting movies (for example, "Select movie files")
  • Start at: Select the starting folder for locating movie files
  • Type: Select Files
  • Check Allow Multiple Selection


Step 2:   Play Movies

  • Movie playback size: Select the default size for playing the movies - Normal, Double, or Full Screen
  • Show on display: Select the default display - Primary or Secondary
  • Check Show this action when the workflow runs
