Zeno's Paradox
April 06, 2004 - Making Progress

I managed to pull my sorry butt out of bed this morning and run the Dempster / Howard loop. Overall, it seems that my muscles were much better prepared this time than last time, so the stress during this run was upon my lungs. I'm pleased to say that I ran farther this time and that my feet no longer hurt from the repetitive pounding. If I can keep this up and get the lungs back into shape, I'll be doing well.

In other news, after the Kos thing has blown over, I realized that political blogging is overrated (for me at least). Political blogs tend to be echo chambers where people go to have their opinions validated and to validate others with similar opinions. (Echo Sunstein's worst fears here.) I've realized this for some time, so I subscribed to blogs on both sides of the aisle. However, the Kos incident has made me realize that this practice wasn't really all that useful. So for the medium term, I've sworn off political websites as any decisions that they would influence have already been made.
