Zeno's Paradox
July 30, 2003 - Intro

Hello and welcome to my technical blog. I also run a personal blog at http://aetherial.nu, but since I had a domain sitting around stagnant, I figured that I would set up a place to jot down technical tidbits I find, invent, or miss from day to day.

My background -- I'm currently a software developer at Northwestern University's Academic Technologies unit. I received my AB in Computer Science at Princeton University where I had the wonderful opportunity to study and research under giants such as Brian Kernighan, Ed Felten, and Andrea LaPaugh.

The majority of my development time is spent at my job at NWU. Thus far, I have worked on Python-based visualization tools, the Chicago Homer, videoconferencing, and the Oyez Project. I'm also part of a three-university collaboration called the Spoken Word Project. Part of the mission of this blog is to share what I learn with myself (I have a terrible memory), collaborators, and everyone else. I figure if I can put some of these things online, it will only help the next person looking for a similar solution.

Anyways, enjoy and if you have any questions, please post a comment, or e-mail me at blog@aetherial.net.

Now we are cooking. This is really useful - I still favour blogs for other areas of the SW project. I am getting the headers and summaries in NewsWire Lite which I like better than my crowded mail box....
