Zeno's Paradox
October 28, 2003 - Twenty-One Repetitions to Form a Habit

I managed to haul myself to the gym last night. I've been suffering from an excess of nervous energy and the general feeling that my physiology needed a bit more exercise. So, I went out last night to the YMCA to lift some weights. I'm hoping to get back into the habit I had in June. I don't foresee any possible interruptions until maybe the middle of December, so I'm optimistic that I'll have enough repetitions under the belt to make this activity habitual. (I'm staying here for Thanksgiving and most likely Christmas.)

While at the YMCA, I noticed a flyer for something called Project SOAR. It appeared to be a mentoring program of some sort, and I'm interested in seeing if its something that I would be interested in doing. Since the YMCA is two blocks away, it's not an overly inconvenient commitment. (Just sent the e-mail.)

I'm also waiting for disc four of Neon Genesis Evangelion. It seems that the series will finally get out of warm up mode and start getting interesting. I can hardly wait to find out what the Angels are and why they are attacking. Thus far this question has been avoided as we have been introduced to the (mostly annoying) characters.

I'm also obviously procrastinating at work writing this. I should pry myself away and see what I can do. Too much nervous energy still. :-P
