Zeno's Paradox
September 11, 2003 - Today

Today promises to be pretty busy. I have about three meetings lined up and I need to do the speaker images for the McConnell argument sometme today. At least I got Verify out of the way and into the hands of the Creative Commons folks...

After a short night of sleep the night before, I managed to get a decent rest last night and was good enough this morning to get up and go work out. I don't know what was in my on Friday, but I've been hard pressed to reproduce that good workout experience. I guess it isn't a big deal as long as I continue. I think that the goal is to exercise enough to increase the idle metabolism so the body doesn't enter mini-hibernation mode. I've been doing thirty minutes of treadmill when I can, but perhaps the better idea is to do twenty minutes in the morning and twenty minutes afterward...

I wasn't sure that I would be able to get up and run after staying up and finishing Tennessee William's "A Streetcar Named Desire". I have plenty of comments on that, but I'm saving them for a separate entry as I'm required to keep a journal in my play-writing class. Might as well kill two birds with one stone. In other news, I don't know what happened, but it seems that I've been drowned by things to do all of a sudden. As I mentioned before, I have several meetings today, but I also need to finish up a blog presentation (along with a Java API that illustrates how to program to blogs), test the newest version of the videoconferencing code, do misc. Oyez tasks. And that's just work. In my personal life, I have a young alum planning meeting this evening, coffee with Alexis this Friday, a play-writing scene assignment to write, class on Saturday, a wedding that afternoon, and a Celtic festival to attend on Sunday. Of course, I have plenty of features to add to Verify and Books. Not to mention grocery shopping and laundry. :-P I have decided that I have exactly two modes in life -- crazy busy and crazy bored. I have resigned myself to the fact that I'll never find any comfortable medium ground and will continue to trudge along in crazy-busy mode for the time being.

It would probably help if I posted to this site less, but I find posting a useful exercise to organize my unorganized mind.
