Another slow day at the office. I've not heard back from the SCOTUS photographer yet, nor have the Xdrive folks gotten back to me regarding them mirroring the Oyez audio. On the other hand, Oyez has moved fifty gigabytes of audio today. Not bad...

I just noticed via Matt Wagers that Peggy Hsu has now gotten a blog. I've made it a point to keep pestering her until I get my books back from her. I need my Belizean witch-doctor herbal remedies book, dammit!

I've also put my first web-based comic strip online -- Mutton. It's off to an understandably slow start, but I figured that I'd better work out an origin and all that while introducing the characters. The premise is basically a fable-like take on the metaphor "people are sheep". I'm still working on the site surrounding the strips -- it doesn't seem like I have enough clutter that is normal on a web-based comic these days. If I can give Alexis a run for her money, I'll be thrilled.

Speaking of which, I found this awesome strip in Angst Technology. Pretty funny and right on the mark.

Also, the G4 CPU shipped yesterday. I should see it next Wednesday. I'm tempted to put the shiny thing up in my window to taunt the crows. Though I think crows are more taunt-able in the Southwest than they are in Evanston. Shiny, shiny, my precious...
