Zeno's Paradox
July 24, 2003 - It's a cool 32 degrees across the river Styx today.

I can't believe that I'm doing this, but I'm applying for a volunteer position on Democrats WatchBlog and its third party counterpart. My reasons are that I want Bush out of the White House, yet the Democrats (candidates and pundits alike) can't seem to pull their heads out of their asses. (Example) I've posted the details of my application below.

A short biography about yourself for the Editors page:

I consider myself a McCain-Republican who would like nothing more than to see Bush-Cheney booted out of the White House in 2004. I don't consider myself a liberal, and my motivations for wanting a Democratic president have less to do with any sort of ideology put forth by any of the candidates than they have to do with stopping the the quickening transfer of civic power from citizens to large interests such as corporations and lobbies.

I am not interested in touting any liberal or Green credentials (nor do I have any), rather I am interested in providing the point of view and ideas from someone in the independent middle that will encourage Democratic pundits and candidates to become more palatable to the portion of the electorate that matters, the center, than the lunatic fringes.

We'll see if I get to join the club.
