Zeno's Paradox
July 24, 2003 - Slow, Slow, Slow Day

Ever have one of those days where you knock out all the immediate items on your to-do list in under an hour? Some time, those days are great -- other days, they are torture.

Let's see... Here's what has been done today:

- Fixed up the Homer technical requirements page.

- Wrote to a photographer inquiring whether we could negotiate a license to post some of his images on Oyez.

- Provided tech support to Jerry and David with respect to getting David's iSight working in Scotland.

- Cleaned up my stove before coming to work.

- Provided Jerry's worker bees a list of cases without abstract information.

- Input the 2001 Spaeth data into the Oyez DB. (I thought I did this earlier. *shrug*)

- Purchased my two books for this month from Audible.Com. One is about the kookiness surrounding Amazon from its founding and the other one is about a clash of cultures in the California wine valleys between the Napa and Sonoma folks.

- Updated the Aetherial.Nu index template to reflect the books I am currently reading. I left Dancing Barefoot up as it is a good book that is deserving of much more exposure.

- Tracked my Mac purchases. I should get my speakers and Final Cut Express tomorrow from Tennessee, and I should get my 17" Cinema Display on the 29th from California. The CPU has not yet shipped.

So, what to do now?

- Oyez needs a gallery architecture in place to display images of the justices, courts, and so forth. I'm waiting to implement this until I hear back from the photographer.

- Keep learning Flash.

- Fix the Oyez audio to get rid of the annoying argument.mp3 names and so forth. (This is my most likely next candidate.)

- Go home and work from any e-mails I receive. I would keep working on Flash from there.

I think the verdict is to work on the audio for now. If I get that finished, I'll decide what to do then.
