we are so out of here..

Saturday morning saw us leaving Palm Springs and wheeling our way to Yellowstone's west entrance.  We knew we wouldn't make it all the way in one day so we headed to Fillmore, UT for a quick overnight.  We were both amazed by the amount of windmills in California and the beauty of Utah!

After a very good night sleep we started off once again, very relaxed and eager to see Yellowstone.  As we spotted the Welcome to Idaho sign, our right front tire BLEW UP!  Our multitasking skills rose to the surface quickly... Charlie did a masterful job of manhandling the RV to a safe pull over while simultaneously eliminating any chance of future hemorrhoid issues.  Meanwhile, CJ was discovering that a person can indeed find God and wet their pants, all at the same time, since the right front tire was directly beneath the seat he was sitting in...

Fortunately for us, we had a roadside service plan for the RV.  One quick phone call, and a tire guy was dispatched to us within 45 minutes.  He got our spare on and did what he could to fix the damage to the wiring so we could drive in to Pocatello. For those who haven't experienced a big tire going BOOM, it can do some damage! Since this was a Sunday, we stayed the night and looked for someone to do some repair on Monday.  For such a nice town, there were absolutely no repair options for us that didn't require us to wait for a week!  The RV was totally drivable, with just a couple of small systems not working, so we decided to head on up to Yellowstone... find a mechanic when we could.  As luck would have it, Tuesday found us calling a local repair man who got us almost back to perfect, and we were off into the park by lunch!
