Sultan Abdul Hamid II, [ 1876 - 1909 ], was in May 1901
approached by Theodor Herzl, who offered to buy up and then turn over
the war-debt in which the Ottoman leadership had been trapped,
in return for an imperial charter for the colonization of Palestine. In his diary, Herzl wrote,
"Let the Sultan give us that parcel of land [Palestine] and in return
we would set his house in order, regulate his finances, and influence world opinion in his favour."

Sultan Abdul Hamid rejected the offer.
In his letter to a sufi shaykh 1911 September 22 Sultan Abdul Hamid mentioned an episode:
"I left the post of "khalifah" only because of the obstacles and threats on the part of people
who called themselves "Young Turks". The Committee of Unity and Progress obsessively insisted that I agree
to make the sacred land of Palestine a nation only for Jews to live in. But in spite of their persistence
I firmly refused. In the end they offered me 150 million English pounds in gold,
but again I refused and said to them:
'If you offered me all the gold of the world on top of your 150 million pounds,
I still won't agree to give up Palestine. I have served Islam and the followers of Mu[h.]ammad ([s.])
for more than 30 years, and I won't cloud our Islamic history, .....'
After my firm refusal they decided to remove me from power,
and then they told me that they would exile me to Salonika and I had to resign.

(sacred mosque) to "masjid alAq[s.]a"
(farthest mosque) precincts blessed,
in order that the prophet may witness

Before "ayat 144 of surah 2" was revealed,
"alQuds" was the "qiblat" Muslims faced while performing "[s.]alat".
That "ayat" instructed them to change "qiblat" towards "Makkah".

Even with the change of "qiblat",
sacredness of "alQuds" sustained
- thus alQuds (the sanctuary), alBeit alMuqaddis (the holy house), and alQuds ashSharif (the noble sanctuary).

The Qur'an refers to "alQuds" in relation to "isra' mi[c]raj".
The "masjid" in "alQuds" is "alAq[s.]a" - the farthest mosque known to Muslims
when "ayat 1 of surah 17" was revealed to the prophet ([s.]). Did "isra' mi[c]raj" take place in AD621
the year before the prophet's "hijra" (migration) to Madinah - AD622 September?

"isra' mi[c]raj" inspired so many generations of commentators, fundamentalists, mystics, radicals, reformers, researchers, scholars, students, theologians and traditionalists producing tomes of literature in so many languages. We struggled to remain careful and meticulous, anchored firmly to the Qur'an and "hadith",
sifting the essence of the message about "isra' mi[c]raj" from embellishment of literature, focussing on
the healthy environment of "taqwa" (resigned to the will of the alMighty), eschewing the climate of fear
that was never the beginning of faith or wisdom but simply the stuff of hypocrisy and cowardice.

"alQuds" was the physical point of arrival and departure for the mystical experience of witnessing
"life beyond the grave", the returns in "jannah" (paradise) for "taqwa" (resigned to the will of the alMighty)
and retributions in "nar" (hell-fire) against unforgiven and unforgivable sins. [Q4:145] - we have been warned that "asfaliminannar" or bottommost "nar" is reserved for retributions against unforgiven sins of hypocrisy.

It correlates with performing "[s.]alat" 5 times daily as demonstrated by the prophet in depth and detail.
"Nabi Musa" ([c]) - Moses in paradise cajoled the prophet to plead with the Compassionate the Merciful
until the divine command to perform "[s.]alat" was reduced from 50 to 5 times daily.

The Zionist delegation, fully focussed on Palestine, seemed indifferent to efforts by the United States and 32 other countries attending the conference dealing with immigration of Jews from Austria and Germany. 1940 February 1 Henry Montor, executive Vice-President of the United Jewish Appeal Funds, refused to help Jewish refugees stranded on the Danube river: [ "Palestine cannot be flooded with... old people or with undesirables." ] 1941-1942 To the Zionist leaders in Switzerland and Turkey, Germany offered transit of all European Jews to Spain if: • they would relinquish all property in Germany and Occupied France; • none of the deportees travel from Spain to Palestine; • all the deportees be transported from Spain to the USA or British colonies, and there to remain; by agreement between Germany and the Mufti of Turkey Palestine was specifically excluded as destination of deportees; • entry visas to be arranged by Jews already resident in the countries to which the refugees were to be deported; • $1000 ransom for each family to be furnished by the Jewish Agency, payable upon arrival of 1000 families daily at the Spanish border. The Zionist leaders rejected the offer insisting that • only Palestine would be considered as a destination for the deportees; • the European Jews must accede to suffering and death greater in measure than other nations, in order to force the US and Britain to agree to a "Jewish State" at the end of the war; • No ransom; This rejection of a solution was made in full knowledge of the consequences - holocaust as their successors now hype. 1942 December 17 both houses of the British Parliament declared readiness to find temporary refuge for endangered persons. The British Parliament proposed to evacuate 500,000 Jews from Europe, and resettle them in British colonies, as part of negotiations with Germany. Within two weeks the motion had 277 Parliamentary signatures. 1943 January 27 when the next steps were being pursued by more than 100 MPs and Lords, a spokesman for the Zionist movement announced that Jews would oppose the motion because Palestine was omitted. 1943 February 16 Romania offered 70,000 Jewish refugees of the Trans-Dniestria to leave for $50 per refugee. This was publicized in New York. Yitzhak Greenbaum, Chairman of the Rescue Committee of the Jewish Agency, addressing the Zionist Executive Council in Tel Aviv on Feb 18, 1943 said: "When they asked me, 'Couldn't you give money out of the United Jewish Appeal Funds for the rescue of Jews in Europe,' I said, 'NO!' and I say again, NO!...one should resist this wave which pushes the Zionist activities to secondary importance." 1943 February 24 Stephen Wise, President of the American Jewish Congress and leader of American Zionists publicly rejected any offer of help declaring that no collection of funds would seem justified. 1944 In the case of the Hungarian deportation issue, an offer was made similar to the one in 1941-1942; the same Zionists rejected the offer having hyped for fund raising that a few million Jews had already "gone through gas chambers in Germany" The Emergency Committee to Save the Jewish People called upon the American government to establish a War Refugee Board. Stephen Wise testifying before a special committee of Congress objected to the proposal. During these negotiations Dr Chaim Weizman remarked: "The most valuable part of the Jewish nation is already in Palestine, and those Jews living outside Palestine are not too important". Weizman's cohort, Greenbaum, amplified: "One cow in Palestine is worth more than all the Jews in Europe." 1947 Congressman William Straton sponsored a bill to grant immediate entry of 400,000 displaced persons to the United States. The bill was not passed after it was publicly denounced by the Zionist leadership. 1956 February 23 The Hon. J. W. Pickersgill, Minister for Immigration was asked in the Canadian House of Commons "Would Canada open its doors to Jewish refugees". He replied "the government of Canada has made no progress in that direction because the government of Israel....does not wish us to do so". 1972 The Zionist leadership successfully opposed efforts in the United States Congress to allow 20,000-30,000 Russian refugees to enter the United States. Dr Bruno Tesch was tried, convicted and hanged for war crimes. He was the co-owner of of a company which bought "Zyklon B" pesticide in bulk from the manufacturers and as "middleman" supplied it to the authorities managing the "concentration camps". The late Dr William Lindsey, a veteran chemist, documented that the compound "Zyklon B" was used as insecticide and disinfectant to delouse everyone at Auschwitz - the inmates as well as the staff running the camp - fumigating clothes, bunkhouses, ....Thus "Zyklon B" pesticide was used to sustain, not to end, life. Dr Linsey also documented fraudulent evidence and testimony in the war crimes trial of Dr Bruno Tesch.
