Didn't innuendos, insults, recriminations, snubs and threats even if veiled
betray the real attitude and approach that were incongruent with peaceable people ?
How much longer could peaceable people of all nations sustain high hopes
of exercising the right to rein in, restrain, contain and civilize the leaders
among them who want endless war ?
In this 21st century there are still the greedy hordes of barbarians
on a rampage killing kids and pludering people's property.
The invasion of Iraq like the war agaist Afghanistan and Vietnam
before could have been avoided but for those barbarians.
So is this "war on terror" an excuse to exercise on "profiled victims"
the phoenician-wild west-mafia metality.
There was in October 1967 a publication that focussed
on the "Challenge to the Economy". On the front inside cover was a beautiful
Josephus Daniels photograph of a young impoverished student concentrating
on a solution to a problem. On the back inside spread was a big picture
of a great multitude of people as in a rally or a long march.
The picture was interposed by text purported to have been spoken
or written by Adlai Stevenson:
"they are marching on to the stage of history;
and that is their demand - a better life !
No one can march these great hosts of humanity
off the stage again."
Why didn't we believe Mao 36 years ago that this October 1967 "free world"
was American propaganda from Manila ?
If we knew the truth about US killing frenzy up north ........... !!!
