Uygur Xinjiang Urumqi

No time to know what happened here over 10 000 years from 239 sites of ruins and relics.

Watch the women in colorful costumes dance in the Uygur tradition with the rhythmic beat of the drums the men finger and palm.

The silk route westward from Xian is as ancient as the underground Kerez wells and channels of Turpan (T.urfan) and the ruins of Gao Chang along the way; yet as promising of adventure or misadventure now as it was with Marco Polo.

One dreams of adventure on the Erqis river running through Xinjiang with an alpine view of Mount Artai and out into the Artic Ocean.

Xinjiang is big.
It is 3 times the size of France.
Under the Gobi desert
on either side of Tian Shan
across the basins of Tarim, Turfan and Zhunger are rich reserves of oil and gas.

If those anglo-americans and israelis, greedy for oil, try to bring barbarism here as they are doing in Palestine, Iraq and Afghanistan, China should vaporise them to Mars with defences better than onyx ss-n-25 super sunburn.

recreate ad infinitum
• from China to India
they came to learn
about nirvana
• from Arabia to China they went
to retrieve knowledge
from dialogue interaction debate
they pointed to culture and wisdom
• Mongol Temujin warriors invaders
barbarians brought ruins
• resourceful resilient people
resist invasion and occupation
• cultured people detest wars
Xinjiag with its silk road
is beautiful again
