September Psalms Errata

The following are known errors in the first printing of September Psalms, which will be corrected in any future printings. Please report any additional errors to me.

Page 4, Forward: “For Such a Time is This” and “Mount Hope” are also settings of original poetry.

Page 21, “Despair”: 1st verse, second system, second and third measures. “Sorrows” should fill the second measure, first syllable to two slurred notes, second syllable to the third note. “o'er” should be sung to the first two slurred notes of the third measure.

Page 43, “Deliverance”: 2nd verse, third line, last word should be “nigh” instead of “night.”

Page 44, “Cronniwell Tune”: Second system, tenor line, 4th measure. Mi (E) should be an octave lower than printed. Editor's note: While not what the composer intended, this note is actually quite effective sung as printed.

Page 54, “Melville”: Second note of Alto part is in the correct position, but shape should be square (La).

Page 61, “Melville”: Alto part, 1st system, third measure text should read “lace and” instead of “and and.”

Page 65, “Christian Race”: The third verse as printed is a duplication of the second verse. The correct third verse is:

We'll lay aside our every weight,
The way is narrow and straight the gate.
