Booking:

Please book your session as far in advance as possible, the studio tends to be booked out for several weeks in advance. Also be sure to reserve enough time for you to complete everything that needs to be done. If you are unsure about what steps are generally involved in a recording and/or mixing session, Chris will be more than happy to answer your questions, assist you with scheduling or guide you through the production process.

Media:

Generally, the producer is responsible for providing all necessary media (hard drives, DVD's) for recording and backup, specifically if the project requires a large quantity of storage space or if production extends over a longer period of time. For less memory-intensive or shorter projects the studio's servers may be used for storage. You should always factor in some additional time at the end of a project/ session for archival and backup purposes. Please make sure that your hard drive has 'Firewire' connectivity, has a rotational speed of at least 7200 RPM and preferably features the 'Oxford 911+ Chip-set' for smooth operation. It is O.K. to use a slower drive as your backup device (USB). If you let us know in advance we can purchase hard drives for you if you prefer. The following hard drives have proven to be reliable in the past:

Mercury Elite-AL Pro FireWire 400+USB2
Mercury Elite-AL Pro FireWire 800/400
Neptune FireWire 400

Hours:

Hours of operation are flexible but typically between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. When recording drums the session has to be stopped no later than 8 p.m. The studio is a non smoking facility.
