Christian began playing the guitar at the age of 16 and soon worked professionally as a guitar player in and around Switzerland. After studying at the Swiss Jazz School's professional division in Berne he relocated to Boston, Massachusetts to study Performance and Music Production & Engineering at the Berklee College of Music.

During his studies he started collaborating with a talented Kenyan singer/ songwriter called Eric Wainaina and together they created a new sound that would prove very successful in Kenya, the United States and Europe. The songs continue to galvanize a new political awareness amongst Kenyans. Christian cowrote, produced, arranged, programmed, recorded, mixed and mastered the entire album and performed a multitude of instruments.

Since then Christian has been busy mixing, recording and/or producing around 300 projects in many regions around the world, working with artists like Oliver Mtukudzi, Fred Wesley, John Abercrombie, Lionel Loueke, Danny Gottlieb, Kenwood Denard, Mike Richmond, Vardan Ovsepian, Marta Gomez, Mick Goodrick, Gene Bertoncini amongst many others.

Meanwhile Christian continues to perform playing a mean, funky guitar whenever the chance arises. He has been part of several international tours as guitarist and musical director and recently performed in South Africa at the prestigious annual Kora Awards, Africa's biggest TV event that is broadcast live to more than 400 million viewers world wide annually.
