Chris Jackson is a producer, engineer, and musician currently residing in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. He has studied music both formally and informally since early childhood, becoming proficient in a variety of instruments and musical styles. His experiences stretch from small clubs to outdoor festivals to professional recording studios and he has worked with a variety of regional and national artists. These experiences allow Jackson to easily traverse musical styles with his production and engineering work. In addition to utilizing professional sound equipment, Jackson has experience in designing and installing audio systems for both live performance and recording. As a result, he understands the inner-workings of these systems and knows how to use them to their full potential.

Prior to moving to the Shenandoah Valley, Chris lived in Nashville, Tennessee where he profited from significant exposure to the music industry. Jackson’s work experience includes Korby Audio Technologies, where he repaired vintage microphones, and hand built Korby-manufactured audio products for some of the most noted individuals in the music business. He also shared his expertise with students at the SAE Institute of Technology, while working as a freelance producer and engineer. Chris is Digidesign Pro Tools certified, and is well educated in a variety of sound recording formats, including analog tape recording which he still practices on request. His diverse employment experience has provided skills and knowledge in many facets of the music industry. Chris is the president and founder of Blue Sprocket Media LLC, a media project management and consulting company based out of Harrisonburg, VA.

Chris is a member of the National Recording Academy and the Audio Engineering Society.
