These stories are missing in whole or greater part from the BBC Archives.
Unless they turn up in private collections or at TV broadcasters outside
of the UK, they are lost forever.
Most
remaining footage for these stories has been published as part of the Out
of Time DVD box set. Enough episodes exist of The Reign of
Terror, The Tenth Planet, The Ice Warriors, and The Invasion to
qualify for future releases as discreet DVDs.

These three stories all showcase Ace as she develops from an angry
teenager into a more mature young woman. This unprecedented level of
companion character development is so important to the stories that
their grouping into a trilogy is very much called for. I have also
placedThe Curse of Fenric before Ghost Light as that
is the order in which they were originally intended to be seen (and
indeed, it is in Fenric that Ace tells the Doctor about her
