This is a how-to that has been long in coming. I have been toying with this idea for a months, but I never got around to getting it on my sites.

This morning my friend Justin passed me the code, I modified some images (I'm working on a fully custom set), hammed away on the HTML, and now I've got working iChat status images.

The only downside is that I don't have code for Away or Idle settings. This is purely binary: Online or Offline. If I run across anything I'll post an update here.

So, the code. Paste the code from this link in your document (HTML view):

You can borrow these (which were given to me) if you'd like. You'll want to put them in your .Mac > Sites folder (or anywhere else you want, but the code above points to that specific folder).

Have a friend (not me, please ;-) test your new code and you're off and running.
