Watch your iMovies on your K700, W800, W810 phone

I have a K700i that I'm using more and more to take photos and movies of our baby. It's more convenient that lugging around (let alone remembering) the video camera or digital still camera.

Having the phone in my pocket ready to shoot makes documenting the stuff the baby does very easy. The only downside is that the quality stinks. But it's good enough to get the idea across until phones can do a lot better, which will be a while.

So, it occurred to me that I could watch some of the high quality movies we have shot with the video camera and edited in iMovie on the K700i, or any other movie-ready mobile.

Apple has made it easy. Here's how to do it:

Make and then export your iMovie as a .mov file.
Open the .mov file in Quicktime.
Choose Export from the File menu.
Choose Movie to 3G from the Export popup menu.
Save to Desktop (or similarly convenient location).

Next turn your phone's Bluetooth connection to On.
Use the Bluetooth File Exchange app to Send File to your phone.
Accept the transfer on your phone.

That's it. It's that easy.
