My Mighty Mouse croaked this morning. The scroll button stopped working in one direction.

I tried the usual troubleshooting, logged into a different account, tried it on another Mac, restarted the computer, checked the Keyboard & Mouse System Preference pane. Nothing brought back my down-direction scrolling.

I was on hold with AppleCare when I decided to try some compressed air. I blew it into the scroll button area and it breathed new life into my Mighty Mouse. Not bad.


