Akimbo beats Apple's iTV, but Apples' got a secret weapon

No worries. Akimbo might have beat iTV out of the gate, but they're going to have a really hard time competing with Apple's legendary easy of use. No one, it seems, does it as well as Apple.

But that's not all. Apple has a history with Akamai, the company that basically speeds up data transfer over the Internet. Apple's iTunes Store and iTV will have a huge advantage because Apple's relationship with Akamai. This is because in the end getting content to these boxes quickly will be almost as important as a wide selection of media from the respective services.

I'm also presuming that Amazon's troubles with their movie service Unbox will continue as long as their download times are slower than Apple's.
