How-To: Add Adsense to iBlog






iBlog can automatically add Google Adsense to your blog, but you really don't have much control over where it goes.

If you use simple html tags you can add Google Adwords wherever you'd like. You can see that I've chosen to put Adwords in the body of my posts (see above) as well as in the sidbar. Where you put yours is up to you.

First you need an Adwords account. If you don't have one use this link:


Once you have your account set up, you'll need to learn how to select the right ad for your page. I use horizontal text ads for the body of my posts, for example.

Step by step:

1) Once you have your ad selected copy the html to your clipboard and open a new post in iBlog.

2) in the Entry Body type the following:

<html code>

PASTE HTML HERE

</html code>

Note that you'll want to remove the space between "html code" as it appears above. The space was added so that that text would show up in this tutorial.

3) Enter your blog post.

That's it.

You'll find it really easy if you use Textpander, or similar utility that automatically enters text for you on the fly. Otherwise, try pasting the entire piece of code into Stickies and it will be ready when you need it, formatted and everything.
