Surprise, surprise: Apple still not green

I'm not above hammering Apple for not being green for one simple reason: I'd pay more. I'd pay more for a Mac that was made and disposed of in a more environmentally friendly way.

Hell, I want my son (18-months) to use a Mac and be an Apple customer, why wouldn't I care about the environment he uses it in?

So, GApple, listen to this message: I'd pay more for your products if that meant that you were the industry leader in manufacturing environmentally friendly products.

Is the problem that Apple doesn't really make anything themselves anymore? My first Mac, a Mac Plus, was made in Cali. Now my Macs are only designed there and made by contractors. I'm betting that that's a big part of the problem.

Don't forget How to Buy a Mac.
