You know about the Dell battery recall. Tons of LithIon batteries to be junked. Turns out some of Apple's batteries are made from the same technology by the same company, so a common solution is in everyone's interest.

Ecommercetimes.com is reporting that Apple, Dell and a few other computer companies are going to get together to come up with a "battery standard." I assume that by standard they mean making a battery that won't spontaneously combust.

I'm sure neither Steve Jobs nor Michael Dell will be there in person, and that's probably a good thing given how much they like each other.



