One-page Companion resource to my How To Buy A Mac! PDF

Grab How To Buy A Mac! and use it along with MacRumors' one-page Buyer's Guide to time the purchase of your next Mac.

How To Buy A Mac! PDF is my 49-page white paper that discusses the Macintosh retail market and the different buying opportunities that are available. While the guide is comprehensive, I wanted to pass along a companion resource that I find to be excellent.

MacRumours, an Apple Macintosh rumor and news site, maintains a Buyer's Guide. The idea behind this guide is to predict the release of new Apple products. With this information, the buyer can factor in the likelihood of the release of a particular Macintosh (or iPod).

For example, MacRumors suggests that the potential iBook buyer wait as the current model was introduced 167 days ago (at the time of this post) and the average "life" of an iBook model is 151 days.

This guide both supports and contradicts itself in its estimates, but the release of new models is entirely under Apple's control, not MacRumors'. With that in mind, I would suggest that buyers of How To Buy A Mac! PDF consult with this resource while researching their next Macintosh purchase.
