For quite a while I've been hitting out at Apple for seemingly forgetting the Mac platform. Sure, we have new portables and new desktops, but it's been a while since Apple shipped something that has the intangible "wow" factor that reads off the chart.

Maybe putting the iPod on the course described in the article will allow Apple to put more attention to changing the world again with their computers rather than with music.
