Tivo Rebate Update: Who's On First? Too funny. My Tivo has a mind of
its own. Sometime it won't record a Season Pass because, well, I'm guessing it
won't record because it doesn't like the show. I can't think of any other
reason. Doesn't matter if I delete the Pass and reenter it, Tivo won't budge.
There have been some other little quirks that I'm trying to get used to, like last week when either Tivo or the network played a little trick on those of us who wanted to record Desperate Housewives and anything right after that broadcast ended. Wasn't going to happen: Desperate housewives was entered in the system such that it ended (MT) at 9:01. There was a PBS program that began at 9:00, but since DH bled into the 9:00 hour, Tivo wouldn't work. Here's a suggestion Tivo: add the flip side to your record "x minute early" functionality and this wouldn't have been a problem. Would it be that difficult to add record "x minute late?" Would have solved this conflict. Anyway, despite the online Tivo Rebate Status site which told me that my paperwork was never received, my $100 rebate finally showed up. Doesn't make up for some stuff Tivo does that is just inexcusable for a product this old and, what, with a reputation many companies would kill for but never achieve. You do a lot right, Tivo, and you're kind enough to share that in your newsletters and on your web site, but I think you've got more work to do. fishingenthusiast.com podcastnation.com tubesok.com Posted: Tue - November 23, 2004 at 06:24 AM |
