Dark Templar OCC
(Version 1.00 - Last Modified: 11/11/2002)
Forced off of Aiur for pursuing forbidden arts, the Lost Tribes needed trained and powerful warriors to
protect their nearly defenseless ships so the Dark Templar were reorganized into a powerful military force
similar to the entire Templar caste on Aiur. The training used by the new Dark Templar is very similar to
the Templar Warrior OCC, except for the focus on magic. The Dark Templar
also have access to very different technology then the Templar Warriors and this is evident with the
Corsair General Fighter and the Dark Templar
Armor.
The Dark Templar are usually sent out to explore both the surrounding galaxy and the megaverse and it was a
group of Dark Templar that Tassadar discovered on the planet Char. Even without direct approval from their
leaders, the Dark Templar on Char formed an alliance with Tassadar and the two groups worked together
against their common enemy, the Zerg.
As with the Templar Warriors, there are several different types of Dark Templar. The most common type is the
Dark Warrior, which combines magic, technology, and training to create a highly effective warrior. The Dark
Warriors also have the ability to merge together to form a creature known as a Dark
Archon, similar to the High Templar's ability to create a regular Archon. The other major type of Dark
Templar are the pilots that control the powerful Corsair fighters.
