  • Rutland Fire Department receives Assistance to Firefighters Grant                 The Rutland Fire Department received an Assistance to Firefighters Grant through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for $227,050.00. The grant is to be used to help pay for a new Tanker Truck to replace the out of service 1972 Tanker Truck that the department currently owns.

  • CERT Seeks New Members                                                                   Rutland's Community Emergency Response Team is a group of volunteers trained to protect and serve families and communities in times of need. They meet the third Thursday of every month at 6:30 p.m. in the Rutland Library for training. If you wish to protect yourself and your community from disasters man-made and natural, you can become a CERT member. You must be 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
