attempting to de-mediate
we get almost all of our news from
other people, so we rarely get what's happening in our daily lives. most times
this news is third or fourth hand. so we have that level of distortion to deal
with as well. this is how they distract
us.
so i am going local. and of course i consider all of my friends local, as they are in my heart.
although some will see this as a step back and a withdrawal and a cop-out, i see this as a move toward greater embodiment, as well as greater involvement in my daily environment. i also see it as the only way that we can possibly beat them.
we will beat them by attacking them on a million fronts. we will never be as organized as they are, or as wealthy, but they cannot hold the wall at all points. it is exactly the small mobile units that will breach the wall, one crack at a time.
