i just petitioned the president to fire the secretary of education, rod paige, who apparently called the national education association a "terrorist organization." you could petition the president to fire secretary paige as well.

i liked the petition because it was very simple and direct, no more than 46 words, and because it had a section called tell us what you think, which i made use of as follows...

i think it's time to turn the page and start a new chapter, one where the secretary of education is interested in working with parents, students, teachers, and administrators to improve the level of education in this country for all citizens. i think it's time we write the chapter that people will still be reading in a hundred years, with smiles on their faces and love in their eyes.

i also emailed rod.paige@ed.gov urging him to resign. i got his address from eric lee . thanks eric.
