BLOGSBURGH

a steel city compendium.

We're not LA or DC or NYC. (And we like it that way, thank you very much.)

But we're a thriving, thinking, writing community of lives and minds and keyboards, loosely allied by physical geography and online demography, now counted, culled, and collected by the good people at Pittsburgh Webloggers.

Flogging and blogging and billing itself as a compendium of all writers, narrators, blogs, and commentators in the greater Pittsburgh area, Pittsburgh Webloggers has, in only its second month, begun to garner a nice amount of attention and interest for its efforts, including a front-page (albeit below-the-fold) article in this morning's Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. It's a great site with a lot of great links to a lot of great blogs (including, of course, TWM). And so it's well worth a bit of your time and your attention -- and your registration, if you're reading and writing locally -- for a look, a peek, a gander at some of the 'Burgh's best blogging.

In a town with more arts organizations per capita than any other city in the country, it seems somehow fiercely fitting that, even as we fly beneath the bright-lights, bi-coastal blogging radar, we still so proudly soar upon wills and words and works of steel.
