THANK DOG


for small labors.

Driving outbound on Washington Boulevard last evening, I came upon a creme-colored minivan with two of those annoying, ubiquitous, cause-of-the-week magnetic car ribbons on its rear end. I don't remember what the first one said -- and, really, I don't care -- but the second one made an impression. It said: I Adopted My Pug.

The driver was obviously proud of this. I was just relieved to know that she hadn't given birth to it.
