A WEEK ON

not a week off

TWM pickin's and postin's may be a bit slim this week, as I wade once again into -- and try not to go off -- the deep end of the Flex-Mode FAST Week pool. This year, not content simply to endure the insanity of teaching an entire seven-week mini course in one week of jam-packed afternoons, I've agreed to embrace the suddenly bracing insanity of teaching two seven-week mini courses in one week of jam-packed mornings and afternoons, teaching one section of Controversy & Communication from 9:00 - 12:30, and another from 1:30 - 6:00. Family time will be scant and blogging time even scanter, but the reward of working with these amazing students, coupled with the challenge of teaching two full classes in one chock-full week, will make it all worth while. As will, I suspect, the satisfaction of making Tepper School history; no faculty member has ever before taught two classes in a single FAST Week.

Of course, as I reminded my morning class, people who make history often do not survive it.

Stay tuned...
