TWO TIMES FIVE OVER SEVEN
equals another great
playlist.
Inspired by last night's list, I decided to flip
the iTunes library upside down and check out the long songs. A quick glance at
the list made me realize that live versions (which I tried to keep to a minimum)
and songs from the seventies (ah, the crossroads of musical ambition and the
rise of the Album-Oriented rock format!) rocked and ruled this time around. The
seven-minute mark seemed like a nice, sensible place to begin, so the list of
potential candidates was much shorter and easier to pare down this time. I
eventually eliminated a lot of songs that I really love, but I just couldn't
bring myself to cut any more once I'd gotten down to, in alphabetical order, my
