The plenary session is where the real work of the IFVA AGM takes place. It is where motions are passed and the budget is approved. I was priviledged to be the Atlantic Rep on the board and a delegate several times. This was the first AGM of the 6 that I've been at where I wasn't a delegate or board member.
It was nice to be aresponsible for once.
In the days leading up to the plenary you meet lots of people from the over 50 member groups of the IFVA and I'm always amazed at the number of people who are independent media artists in Canada. But the plenary session is always amazing to see as the tables are arranged and you see the true scale and scope of the organization as the official representatives of the organizations sit down and discuss motions.
The strong, independent voice for media artists continues!
